Weekly Overview

Our Housekeeper position is responsible for the cleanliness of our properties, it is a diverse role, with a variety of shifts that equate to approximately 40 hours per week.  Typically, the routine is to work split-shifts most days, allowing you to have plenty of time out on the mountain.

Please see the sample rota to the right, which will give you an indication of what to expect each week.

Housekeeper Package

Our Housekeepers will receive the following as part of their employment package for the 2024/25 winter season:

Pay

  • Minimum gross salary of €1,800 per month.
  • Share of weekly tips.
  • One day off per week.
  • Meals are provided in the chalet-hotel.
  • A £200/€200 deposit is required to confirm your position and will be your first contribution towards the deductions noted below.

Holiday 

  • Annual leave is not permitted over the season as we have guests every week.
  • The equivalent holiday entitlement (for your country of placement) is paid at the end of the season.

Accommodation 

  • We can provide you with accommodation in a room shared with someone of the same sex.
  • Ski Miquel accommodation is charged at €100 per week.
  • €500 is paid upfront and deducted from your wages over the first 2 months, and this is used to cover the last 5 weeks of the season.

Insurance 

  • You will be provided with suitable medical insurance cover, as well as for on-piste skiing/snowboarding, which will vary depending on your country of placement.
    • In France, you will have third party insurance cover through our provider MPI.
      • Additional cover on the MPI policy will be available for gadgets, etc (if required), which will need to be paid for when confirmed.
      • You will have the option to add Carte Neige cover to your lift pass for when you are on the mountain, which can either be arranged by yourself in resort, or we will charge you for it and deduct the cost from your first month's pay.

Equipment 

  • Skis, poles & boots or a snowboard & boots are provided for you.
  • Additional equipment or changes to such are charged for at the discretion of our resort supplier.
  • We recommend that you buy your own helmet for the season, otherwise these can be purchased in resort for around €50.

Lift pass

  • Arranging a lift pass through Ski Miquel is optional.
  • If you choose to take one, we will purchase it for you and deduct the cost from your wages over the first 2-3 months, the cost of which will vary between resorts.

Uniform

  • Ski Miquel polo shirts are provided.
  • You will need to bring the following items: 
    • Black or navy blue trousers x3
    • Black comfortable indoor shoes

Travel to and from resort

  • Discretionary contribution of up to €150 (each way) towards travel to and from resort (flights or alternative transport).
