Ski Miquel is so excited to announce the purchase of the historic Hôtel l’Edelweiss in Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, marking a return to the 3 Vallées after 30 years away.
The hotel, soon to join the Ski Miquel collection as Chalet-Hotel Claire, sits in one of the most charming villages in the French Alps. Saint-Martin-de-Belleville is loved for its traditional stone buildings, peaceful village atmosphere and superb access to the world-famous 3 Vallées ski area - the largest linked ski area in the world, with around 600km of pistes stretching across Méribel, Courchevel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens.
A historic Alpine hotel with real character
Hôtel l’Edelweiss has a long and authentic connection with Saint-Martin-de-Belleville. Its story began in the 1960s, when a family barn was transformed into a small mountain hotel - the kind of warm, welcoming Alpine building that has been part of village life for generations.

The purchase of Hôtel l’Edelweiss strengthens the Ski Miquel portfolio of friendly, hosted chalet-hotels across some of Europe’s best ski resorts. It will sit alongside much-loved Ski Miquel properties in resorts such as Tignes, Serre Chevalier, Montgenèvre, Saalbach, Bad Gastein, Baqueira-Beret and Lauterbrunnen.
Like the rest of the collection, Chalet-Hotel Claire will offer the Ski Miquel formula guests know and love: a relaxed house-party feel, great food, welcoming staff, sociable evenings and practical support throughout the week. Add in Saint-Martin’s beautiful village setting and direct access into the 3 Vallées, and it becomes a very exciting new base for Ski Miquel guests.

For Ski Miquel, this is not just a new purchase, it's a return to familiar snow. We operated in Saint-Martin-de-Belleville around 30 years ago, and we are delighted to be coming back to a village that has lost none of its Savoyard charm.
